The Closing Date For 2020 Census Mapping Short Term Jobs Has Been Extended to 1st November, 2019.

Government will be deploying youths to work temporarily as Map Data Collectors, in the Census Mapping and Listing as part of the preparations for the Census of Population and Housing to be conducted in August, 2020.

Zambia Statistics Agency (formerly Central Statistical Office) is rolling out the Census Mapping and Listing exercise to nine provinces of Zambia except Lusaka where the exercise was successfully completed in August, 2019. (Female youths are highly encouraged to apply).  For more information on how to apply download the >>2020 Census Mapping Advert.

CSO closes consultative process for the 2020 Census Questionnaire content

The Central Statistical Office CSO has ended the four week consultative process in which stakeholders were giving their views on the contents of the 2020 questionnaire in readiness for the exercise next year.

CSO scoops Best e-Transformation award at Africa Public Service day

The Central Statistical Office (CSO) has scooped first prize for Best e-Transformation category award at the just ended 2019 Africa Public Service day commemorations.

 The department participated at the road show which started on June 19 to 21, 2019 at East Park Mall in Lusaka.
